Kaja's works offer a glimpse into a fantastical natural world. Each piece in the series captures a different moment within the same scene: the undergrowth in a forest still life, the majestic oak, and the interplay that unfolds in a dance.

Kaja Meyer is a visual creator who works across various mediums, including paintings, drawings, and original printing techniques, always with a strong emphasis on narrative. Their primary source of inspiration is the exploration of relationships—how seemingly unrelated entities interact with each other. This includes interactions between individuals, groups, people and animals, as well as different elements of nature. The artist aims to observe and describe these connections, capturing the essence of moods and feelings without making moral judgments about them. They hold a bachelor's degree from Designskolen Kolding and are nearing the completion of a master's degree in graphic storytelling from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
